Despite efforts to recover, Tomato Energy was unable to continue trading and officially ceased operations on 5^th November 2025.

Ofgem has stepped in to ensure customers remain supplied and has begun the process of appointing a Supplier of Last Resort (SoLR) to take over affected accounts. This means that:

• Customers should take and record meter readings to protect their final account balance.
• Energy supplies will continue as normal, and there is no risk of disconnection.
• Businesses should not switch suppliers until a new one has been appointed.
