EV Charging Station for your Business

Flame Energy offer Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points for commercial customers in all locations. Whether you need EV charging for customers or staff in the workplace. We can carry out commercial site surveys to ensure you’re getting the perfect EV charging solution for your site.

With the UK banning the sale of diesel and petrol cars by 2030 and other EU countries by 2035, it’s more important than ever to look to electric vehicles. This ban will cause a huge increase in the demand for electric vehicles so it’s important to offer customers and employees a place to charge their car.

Why choose an EV charging point?

Choosing to fit an EV charging point is a great way to help your business reduce its carbon emissions by reducing your scope one emissions. By switching to an electric car from a diesel car, you can save nearly 200 grams of CO2 per mile. This, in turn, will help to reduce global warming and help your business achieve sustainability targets.

There’s also the added benefit of the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS). This is a voucher-based scheme for businesses to help cover some of the cost of fitting an electric charging point at your site. This can cover up to 75% of the cost with a maximum of £350 for each socket, with up to 40 sockets. However, this scheme is subject to changes so our experts can keep you up to date with the latest updates.

What is the Workplace Charging Scheme?

The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is a UK government grant that offers up to £350 per charging socket (maximum 40 sockets) to help businesses with installation costs. Flame Energy helps organisations apply for WCS funding and manage end-to-end installation

How do you know what kind of electric vehicle (EV) charging point I need?

The right EV charger depends on your vehicle type, usage frequency, and available electrical capacity. Flame Energy assesses your site and needs to recommend the most suitable charging solution for your business or fleet.

What is the average cost of installing an EV Charger?

The cost of installing a commercial EV charger typically ranges from £1,000 to £2,500, depending on charger speed, cabling, and infrastructure. Flame Energy provides tailored quotes and supports grant applications like the WCS to reduce upfront costs.
